FAFSA Day at Nash Community College

fafsaday_buttonFAFSA Day will be held Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Nash Community College in Rocky Mount from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM. At the event, financial aid specialists and other representatives will assist students in the completion and the electronic submission of their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) forms. FAFSA Day will be held in the NCC Science and Technology Building, Room 7106-7108. Parking is available in the Science and Technology Building lot. The program is open to individuals who plan to attend college in the 2016-17 academic year, and will be held at many sites across North Carolina.

FAFSA Day is a service for high school seniors, their families, and others who will be in college during the 2016-17 academic year. This program will benefit high school seniors and college students. College Foundation of North Carolina offers many other free services to help North Carolinians in middle and high school plan and prepare for college. For more information contact us at CFNC.org or through 866-866-CFNC, the CFNC toll-free phone number.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

1) FAFSA Day takes place before most deadlines for submission of the FAFSA, but you should check with the institutions you are considering attending to make sure their deadlines are not earlier. If the deadlines are earlier, you should not wait for the FAFSA Day program to submit your FAFSA application and other forms, if they are required.

2) While the intention of this program is to provide assistance in completing the FAFSA, some colleges require additional documents, such as institutional financial aid forms or the CSS PROFILE. The financial aid administrators and specialists on site the day of the program will try to answer questions or provide general information you may have about forms other than the FAFSA, or will advise you if the North Carolina institutions you are considering require additional forms; however, they may not be familiar with some college forms. In these instances, they will advise students to contact the financial aid offices at the colleges they are considering for additional assistance.

3) Mistakes to Avoid When Completing Your FAFSA.
